It was a short week for us but we still had plenty to do. Innovations in sliding resulted in lots of fun and laughter for everyone!
This week several children were digging in the dirt and began talking about dinosaur bones. A full scale excavation ensued with busy spoons. Pretend play is an integral component of child development. We love to see and hear about the imaginary worlds and experiences the children create. It gives us new insight into what they know about and helps us follow their leads about their interests.
Enjoying eating "ants on a log" while watching the ant farm!
We put a new twist on the easel by using fingerpaint.
It's not for the faint of heart!
This friend does a stellar job of rolling the land, water, air mat. This seemingly simple action builds finger strength and coordination in the fine motor department and develops a sense of social responsibility taking care of one's community.
See you next week!
Don't forget we are closed Monday and Tuesday next week (February 16 and 17) for President's Day.
We wish Zach a very happy birthday!
Congratulations Jane on being a big sister again!
Happy Valentine's Day everyone! We send you love and hope you have a great long weekend!
